Never Summer utilizes the following exclusive quality materials and features in our snowboards:

BOOST FLEX CORE
Never Summer’s exclusive BOOST FLEX WOOD CORE features a slimmer, streamlined side profile for an ultra-light yet solid feel. This core also provides a more consistent flex down the length of the snowboard for incredible snap and pop.

NS CUSTOM FLIGHTCORE
Never Summer’s exclusive CUSTOM FLIGHT CORE is the most technically advanced core system we’ve ever used. Designed and built in NS’s woodcore facility, these cores fuse premium hardwood and ultra light softwood laminates together with vertical layers of elastomeric vibration dampers. These lightweight perimeter dampers actually increase vibration absorption the faster you ride while maintaining an incredible amount of snap and liveliness, providing a level of edgehold and high speed performance that only a Never Summer snowboard can deliver.

PRESS FLEX CORE
This rocker core design features 2 specific softer flex points between the feet creating better hinge points for ultimate pressing and ollie performance. Making the PRESS FLEX WOOD CORE the perfect foundation for freeestyle performance.

NS SUPERLIGHT WOOD CORE
Using a custom blend of wood species that was created to be the lightest weight yet durable core on the market. Our NS SUPERLIGHT WOOD CORE is CNC sanded in our custom wood working facility to a fraction of a millimeter. A tailored flex is perfected, giving our snowboards unequaled performance.

CARBONIUM DAMPING SYSTEM (CDS)
Taking our custom flight core even further, we’ve designed the SUPERLIGHT WOOD CORE specifically for our new Carbonium series. This core blends extremely light wood with durable hardwood for unmatched strength to weight ratio.

WOMEN’S CARBONIUM DAMPING SYSTEM (WCDS)
The WCDS is tailored for a female rider. Three elastomeric rubber foils around the perimeter of the board provide an optimum balance of high-speed stability and vibration absorption while maintaining an agile feel.

RDS 1 DAMPING SYSTEM
The laminated damping layers on the RDS 1 are more extensive along the full length of the effective edge, and less extensive in the tip and tail, giving the board high-speed stability with reduced tip and tail swing weight.

RDS 1+ DAMPING SYSTEM
RDS 1+ is our most extensive damping system, with twice the amount of damping material as our other systems for unmatched stability at speed. RDS 1+ provides incredible vibration absorption while stabilizing the nose of the board in variable conditions.

RDS 2 DAMPING SYSTEM
This lightweight system uses three narrower laminated damping layers that provide the perfect combination of vibration absorption and stability. RDS 2 is the perfect balance of freeride stability and freestyle liveliness.

FREESTYLE DAMPING SYSTEM
Specifically designed for some of our freestyle models, FDS utilizes thinner rubber foil for a lighter, snappier feel while still providing the legendary NS smooth ride.

HARMONIC TIP/TAIL DAMPER/PROTECTION
HARMONIC DAMPERS in the tip and tail take out a high percentage of residual vibration by quieting the nose and tail. This enhances stability at speed, in variable snow conditions and on board landings without deadening the liveliness and pop of the cambered areas.

P-TEX TIP/TAIL PROTECTION
Boards with P-TEX TIP/TAIL PROTECTION have UHMW Plastic, or P-Tex, which is a softer molecular material, that not only seals and protects the wood core, but also absorbs vibration and impact.

TRANSITION AREA
A small, flat section in the snowboard profile that improves both turn initiation and powder floatation.

PERFORATED ROCKER PAD
Perforated to reduce weight, these thin elastomeric PERFORATED ROCKER PADS are strategically located in the mid-section of the board. This absorbs the vibration between the feet and provides a buffer in the rocker area, which is in continuous contact with the snow.

ELASTOMERIC UNDERFOOT STABILIZERS
Elastomeric Rubber Stabilizers directly below the mounting area provide optimum vibration absorption and increase high speed stability while reducing foot fatigue.

CARBON V-TWIN LAMINATE TECHNOLOGY
The Premier F1 benefits most from the CARBON V-TWIN laminate system which extends the carbon “V”s from the bindings to the ends of the effective edge increasing power and edge response. An additional carbon V is added to the tail to increase edge hold and power out of turns.

CARBONIUM LAMINATE TECHNOLOGY
More carbon equals more power and performance. The new Carbonium Laminate Technology combines an advanced top and base carbon matrix to maximize torsional response and strength where it’s needed most. The result is a lightweight yet powerful design that will keep the Carbonium Series boards going strong for years.

WOMEN’S CARBONIUM LAMINATE TECHNOLOGY (WCLT)
WCLT has been designed specifically for the Carbonium Raven. Narrow Carbon stringers on the top and bottom of the wood core provide power and energy transfer without sacrificing the torsional control a lighter rider needs. Additional fiberglass strips reinforce the effective edge for hold and durability.

LOW PROFILE TIP/TAIL (LPT)
A low profile in the nose and tail of the snowboard maximizes material contact with the snow for more powerful ollie/nollie pop and adds stability to your landings. LPT also reduces the plowing effect in the nose for better glide to the next feature and superior float when it’s deep.

CARBON VXR LAMINATE TECHNOLOGY
CARBON VXR extends carbon fiber V’s out from the inserts to the effective edge for quick response while stiffening the board torsionally. Additionally, V’s are positioned to the ends of the board providing maximum boost and pop when loaded up. This is an ideal layup to transfer energy to the end of the effective edge, tip/tail and still give the board a softer more forgiving mid-flex for torsional control.

CARBON MAX LAMINATE TECHNOLOGY
More carbon equals more power and performance. The CARBON MAX LAMINATE TECHNOLOGY combines an advanced top and bottom carbon matrix to maximize response and strength here it’s needed most. The result is a lightweight yet powerful configuration that provides torsional rigidity and energy transfer without sacrificing the control a rider needs.

PREMIUM TOPSHEETS
The PREMIUM TOPSHEETS are our very durable, lightweight, scratch and chip resistant fiber backed thermoplastic. The premium topsheets also provide more grip than other topsheet materials, working as a built in stomp pad. These premium topsheet materials include our Carbonium Topsheet, Matte Topsheet and TruGrit Topsheet.

SINTERED P-TEX SIDEWALL
We were the first snowboard company to use and perfect SINTERED P-TEX SIDEWALLS, and we’ve never seen one crack. Unlike conventional ABS sidewalls, that have a tendency to crack in colder temperatures, SINTERED P-TEX SIDEWALLS maintain their integrity at any temperature.

STS PRETENSIONED FIBERGLASS
The world’s best snowboard fiberglass, period. Our STS ADVANCED FIBERGLASS is a pre-hardened, pre-tensioned, layered laminate that has added elastomer stringers between the 0 degree and 90 degree glass fibers the length of the effective edge. This produces a stronger bond between the individual glass laminates giving our snowboard unmatched strength, edge hold and performance.

BI-LITE FIBERGLASS
BI-LITE fiberglass combines many of the strength characteristics of STS ADVANCED fiberglass with an ultra light glass fiber matrix. This delivers incredible freestyle and freeride performance without sacrificing durability.

DURASURF SINTERED 4501 BASE
Crown Plastics has been the industry leader in sintered materials for over 36 years and has created the DURASURF 4501 sintered base exclusively for Never Summer. This new high density base is extremely fast and will provide unmatched performance and durability.

DURASURF XT SINTERED 5501 BASE
Crown Plastics has developed an exclusive, super fast, durable sintered base specifically for our higher end boards. Just the right amount of graphite has been added making the DURASURF XT SINTERED 5501 BASE the fastest we’ve ever used.

VARIO POWER GRIP SIDECUT
VARIO POWER GRIP SIDECUT utilizes multiple radiuses creating extra contact points to enhance edge hold. A flat section in the rocker area provides a broad contact point when flexed, however when unbent allows the board to track straight and not catch. Flanking this straight section are two shallow radiuses which provide the second and third contact points. Towards the ends of the sidecut are deep radiuses which render quick turn initiation and the final contact points. The Chairman Power Grip Sidecut has two more radiuses for additional edge hold.

Longboard Technology

Never Summer utilizes the following exclusive quality materials and features in our longboards:

FCC Construction
Flex Control Composite (FCC) construction combines bi-directional fiberglass and a vertically laminated core milled to the thousandth of an inch for consistent flex patterns.

P-TECH Nose and Tail Protection

Never Summer Industries pioneered the use of UHMW polyethylene, better known as P-Tex, in the sidewalls of our snowboards due to it’s durability and ease of repair. Seamless integration of the same proven P-Tex into the nose and tail of our longboards provides an unmatched level of protection and durability.

RDS Ride Stabilization
RDS, our Rubber Damping System, provides unmatched stability and Never Summer’s signature smooth ride.  RDS uses elastomeric rubber foil laminates that absorb vibrations from the trucks. This improves overall stability and helps to reduce foot fatigue.

DuraPic Graphics
We sublimate our graphics onto a co-extruded thermoplastic sheet that is scratch and chip resistant. DuraPic provides unequaled protection to the integrity of the lower structural laminates while holding up to the inherent wear and tear of longboarding.

Carbonium Durapic
Used on all the models in our Carbonium Series, this exclusive material has a carbon weave visual with a matte finish.  Carbonium’s carbon fiber texture not only looks great, but is even more resistant to scratching and chipping.

VLSC Split Core Technology
For the Soldier Never Summer presses two vertically laminated Poplar cores into one, creating a stiff and solid platform.  A light, yet incredibly durable deck that can handle the high speeds that are required of the Soldier.

ROCKER
Rocker lowers your center of gravity for better stability. Combine this with  concave and it locks your feet in like a vice. Rocker allows for easier pushing while increasing foot hold and responsiveness.

FDC
Our exclusive Flex Deck Construction combines precisely milled horizontal laminates and bidirectional fiberglass to create the ultimate flex deck platform. Strong, snappy and durable.
